Understanding the Causes of Blockages

First, let's understand the causes of blockages. Generally, blockages are caused by issues with the material flow in the weighing tube of the electronic scale. If material flow is obstructed within the weighing tube or material accumulates for too long, it can lead to difficulty in unloading material, resulting in a blockage in the weighing tube.

Additionally, malfunctions in the synchronized mechanical transmission system between the electronic scale and feed silo, or in the electrical DC speed control board, can cause feeding to become unsynchronized, leading to blockages. Furthermore, blockages may occur due to obstructions in the feed hopper or feed inlet.

Monitoring and Initial Troubleshooting

During operation, monitor the system's performance. If a blockage is detected at the feed outlet, immediately shut down the system for maintenance. If the electronic scale's flow rate becomes unstable or loses flow signals, this indicates a feeding malfunction in the silo system. This is typically caused by improper adjustment of the photoelectric switch or the scraper roller.

How to Address Blockage Issues

  • 1. First, inspect the operational status of the photoelectric tubes, adjust their positions, and re-adjust the gap between the rake rollers and the conveyor belt. Ensure the production line is running smoothly while controlling the feeding height.

  • 2. Then, repair any faulty components in the mechanical transmission system or electrical speed control board to ensure the feed tower and electronic scale operate in sync.

  • 3. Additionally, open the maintenance inspection window to check if material discharge from the discharge port is smooth and perform localized modifications.

  • 4. Check whether the connection between the discharge port and the measuring tube is reasonable and whether the angle of the inclined surface of the discharge hopper is correct.

Blockages in the feed tower are relatively common. If the density of the feed is too high or too low, it may also cause blockages in the feed tower pipes. As long as we promptly identify and resolve the blockage issues, the problem can be addressed.
